Hsipaw, Kalaw, Pindaya & Mt Popa Trekking,

A1, SHAN Villages Trip - 4hrs Walk (Round Trip)
The walk covers a variety of rural scenery including rice paddies, fields of maize, tobacco and other seasonal crops in rolling wooded countryside. You will visit farming villages, with their productive gardens and have the opportunity to see basket and fan making and cheroot rolling.

A2, Water Fall (Active Aug to Feb only) - 5hrs Walk (Round Trip)
The walk starts from the hotel and goes through rice fields, with an excellent view of an ancient pagoda and a Shan Royal Tomb, until reaching a waterfall which is over 100ft in height and has a beautiful pool at its base. Swimming is possible in the pool. Beside it, there is a limestone cave.

A3, Boat Trip - 5hrs round trip
Take a 1-hour longtail boat trip upstream with forest and fruit tree plantations along the banks followed by a 45 minute walk uphill through pineapple, papaya and orange orchards to visit a 150 year old Shan monastery sitting by itself in the forest. On the return journey, by boat, it is possible to swim in the river and also visit a typical Shan village, with charming gardens. Also visit a station on the narrow gauge railway from Mandalay to Lashio.

B1, Waterfall (active Aug to Feb) and SHAN villages - 6 or 7 hrs. round trip

B2, Walk to the SHAN villages with Boat Trip - 7hrs
Take an easy trek for a couple of hours through Shan Farming villages, with panoramic scenery of rice paddy, fields with seasonal crops and see local handicraft work – hand fans, bamboo baskets. Get in the boat and travel upstream with the mountains, valleys, and fruit plantations along the river. Make a visit to a SHAN village which has typical houses with charming gardens Walk uphill to a 150-year-old monastery set on its own in the forest. Return to Hsipaw by boat.

B3, Waterfall (active Aug to Feb only), Shan Villages and Boat Trip 7 or 8 hrs. round trip
Walk through rice fields, to the 100ft height waterfall with, a nice pool at the base. There is a splendid view of an ancient pagoda and a SHAN ROYAL TOMB from the rice fields. There is lime stone cave is beside the fall. Afterwards, continue walking through Farming villages, with panoramic views of paddy, seasonal crops, mountains, streams and see the life style of SHAN villages, with women weaving baskets and making hand fans from bamboo. Board a long tail boat and travel upstream with mountains, valleys, and fruit plantations along the river. Make a visit to a SHAN village which has typical houses with charming gardens and walk uphill for 45 minutes to a monastery set on its own in the forest monastery. Return by boat.

B4, PALAUNG hill tribe village, Tea Plantation - 10 hrs. walking round trip, hard mountain trek.
Begin a walk from Hotel along flat paths through TAI (SHAN) Villages and rice paddy fields along irrigation channels and natural streams stream for 1 hour to reach the foot-hills. Continue along a steady uphill path through hill crops and Tai villages on the lower part of mountain for couple of hours to reach a PALAUNG village and have lunch break at a local farming family house. After lunch walk slowly around the village to absorb the fascinating way of life and walk back to hotel along a different path, through other villages which local guide will choose. (It is possible to arrange transport back to spend more time in visiting the Palaung villages.)

OPTION A
Day 1

Start walking from hotel along Tai (Shan) Village and seasonal vegetable crop, rice paddy along natural spring and stream. After 5 hours walking, you will reach Palaung (minority) village which is night-stop point, have local lunch in a house rest a bit or day nap. Take afternoon walk for sightseeing around village and through tea plantation, hill cultivation. Meet villagers in the evening and try to understand their conversation with the help of local guide. Overnight stay at a village with simple accommodation.

Day 2
Have simple local breakfast and walk back to hotel along the path which local guide will choose different way and village for some part of trek for 4 hours.

OPTION B
Day1
Start walking from hotel along Tai (Shan) Village and seasonal vegetable crop, rice paddy along natural spring and stream. After 5 hours walking, you will reach Palaung (minority) village which is night-stop point, have local lunch in a house rest a bit. Take afternoon walk through little jungle and village for several hours and reach further minority village and stay overnight at one of the villages with simple accommodation.

Day2
Start walking after local breakfast along little forest for several hours and have break and lunch at a charming, beautiful Tai (Shan) village. Take afternoon walk along further Tai Villages at down slope and eventually reach Hi-way road and get pick up back to hotel.

Day 1
Start walking from hotel along Tai (Shan) Village and seasonal vegetable crop, rice paddy along natural spring and stream. After 5 hours walking, you will reach Palaung (minority) village which is night-stop point, have local lunch in a house rest a bit. Take afternoon walk through tea crops and pine wood, reach further minority village and stay overnight at one of the villages with simple accommodation.

Day 2
Start walking after local breakfast through farther minority villages along little forest for several hours and have break and lunch at a charming, beautiful minority village. Take afternoon walk along further villages and reach Tai (Shan) Village, then overnight at monastery with simple accommodation.

Day 3
Start walking after local breakfast through further Tai (Shan) villages along down slope for several hours, have break and lunch at hot spring or in Tai village. Reach to highway road and drive back to hotel.

OPTION A
After breakfast at hotel, start our Kalaw day trekking tour from the misty hill station, Kalaw. After trekking among the pine forest, visit Peinnepin Palaung trips’ village. Sightseeing in the village will take about 30 minutes and continue to Taungni village for another one and half hour on the hill side. Sightseeing around the village and have our lunch at a traditional house. After lunch, continue our trekking to a big Shan village. In the evening, arrive at Ywataw Village and take your time easy and proceed back to our hotel to conclude your unique trekking experience on the Shan mountain range. In the evening, arrive back to Kalaw and walk back to your hotel.

OPTION B
We will start our Kalaw day trekking in the morning from your hotel. Firstly, it will be about 3 hours trekking to Ywa Thit Village. Sightseeing in the village will be a highlight of the tour and continue to Taryaw village for next 20 minutes. After sightseeing in the village, trek again to our main destination of Kalaw day tour trekking, View Point for about 45 minutes. It lies one of the highest points of the Kalaw regain. We will have lunch there and take a short rest. After lunch we will make trekking in the forest mountain to a lake which is called “Ye Aye Kan”. This is a natural lake and main water supply for Kalaw. After take a short break on the bank of the lake, we will trek back to Kalaw among the forest and through the farms. In the evening, we will arrive at your hotel in Kalaw.

OPTION C
This tour is combination of Kalaw day trekking and cave sightseeing. In the morning, start the trekking from Kalaw. After first 2 hours, we will be in Lut Pyin village. After sightseeing in the village make another 2-hour trekking among the rocky hill and vegetable farms to Myin Mahtide village. On arrival at the village, make sightseeing follow by lunch stop at the village. After lunch, visit hiding Myin Ma Hti Cave for sightseeing. There are many different ancient Buddha statues and some stupas in the cave and it will be about one hour sightseeing. In the evening, back to Kalaw by motorbike or car. On arrival at Kalaw, proceed to your hotel and end of the day.

Day 1 Kalaw - La-Mie - Kone Hla - Pauk Tu
After breakfast at hotel, drive from Kalaw to La-Mie about 1 hour, then start trekking from La-Mie village and visit around. Then proceed to Kone-Hla and lunch at Kone-Hla. On the trekking way, you can see various ethnic tribes such as Pa-O, Taung-Yo and Bamar and the plantations of vegetables. After lunch, continue to Pauk-Tu and stay overnight at Pauk-Tu village monastery with simple accommodation.

Day 2 Pauk Tu - Htee -Tain - Yay Ni - Myay Phyu - Taung Mauk – Indein
After breakfast at Pauk-Tu monastery, start trekking to Htee-Tain village, Yay-Ni village, Myay-Phyu village, Taung-Mauk village. End at Indein village and go back to your hotel by boat.

Day 1 Kalaw - Myin Ma Hti Cave - La-Mie - Baw Hnin Kone
After breakfast at hotel, start trekking from Kalaw. Lunch at Myin-Ma-Hti Cave, then proceed to La-Mie village en route, you can see various ethnic tribes such as Pa-O, Taung-Yo and Bamar and the plantation of vegetables and stay overnight at Baw-Hnin-Kone village with simple accommodation.

Day 2 Baw Hnin Kone - Pauk Tu - Htee Tain
After breakfast, continue trekking from Baw-Hnin-Kone village to Pauk-Tu and Lunch at Pauk-Tu Village. And then proceed to Htee-Tain and Stay overnight at Htee-Tain village with simple accommodation.

Day 3 Htee Tain - Yay Ni - Myay Phyu - Taung Mauk – Indein
After breakfast, start a walk to Yay-Ni village, Myay-Phyu village, Taung-Mauk village and End at Indein village and go back to your hotel by boat.

Day 1 Pindaya - A Lal Gu - Htut Ni - See Kyat Inn – Yatsakyi Village
After breakfast at hotel, start trekking from hotel in Pindaya to A-Lal Gu (Middle cave), Htut-Ni village and Lunch at See Kyat Inn village. On the trekking way, in the Da-Nu self-administered zone, you can see the ethnic groups such as Da-Nu, Taung Yoe and Pa-O the plantation of potato, ginger, onion and cabbage. Then proceed a walk and stay overnight at Yatsakyi Village with simple accommodation.

Day 2 Yatsakyi Village - Lin Lee Inn - Shwe Pen - Taung Paung Gyi – Pindaya
After breakfast, start trekking from Yattsakyi Village to Lin Lee Inn Village, Shaw pen village, Taung Paung Gyi village. Then proceed to Pindaya and stay overnight at hotel in Pindaya.

Day 1 Pindaya - A Lal Gu - Htut Ni - See Kyat Inn – Yasakyi
After breakfast at hotel, start trekking from hotel in Pindaya to A-Lal Gu (Middle Cave), Htut- Ni village and Lunch at See Kyat Inn. After breakfast, start trekking to Linn Lee Inn village, Me Ne Taung and Lunch at Pin Sein Pin village. After lunch, continue a walk to Konlat village and stay overnight at Konlat village with simple accommodation.

Day 3 Kon Lat - Shwe Pa Htoe - Zaw Gyi – Pindaya
After breakfast proceed to Shwe Pa Htoe village and Zaw Gyi village. Then proceed to Pindaya and stay overnight at hotel in Pindaya.

Summit of Mt. Popa
Hike through trees and flowering plants to the summit of Mount Popa for sweeping views over the surrounding countryside. In the early morning set off by vehicle to Popa Garden Resort to meet your local trekking guide.

Then together start the hike up Mount Popa. This extinct volcano is also known as Taung Ma-Gyi, or Mother Hill. It will take approximately 2.5 hours to reach the summit at 1518 metres.

The mountain is an oasis with over 200 streams and springs. Many species of birds and butterflies make their home in the trees and flowers that thrive in the fertile volcanic soil. When you reach on top of the mountain, enjoy a simple picnic lunch and breathe in the fresh air on the small pagoda. The mountain is topped with a caldera – a large crater that was left behind when the mouth of the volcano erupted. Relax here for a while and admire the breathtaking view of surrounding areas.

Make your way back down the mountain to your awaiting vehicle. There is the option to visit Popa Taung Kalat, a sheer-sided rocky outcrop. The sacred monastery perched on the peak is a famous pilgrimage site for locals who come to worship at the Nat temples.

Yee Nge Natural Spring Water
Adventure trip may be organized for guest to Yee Nge Natural Spring Water. It is two miles far from Resort and 2650 ft above sea level. The best place for trekking, horse riding, birds and butterflies watching on the way.

Sandalwood Forest and Museum
Only one mile far from Resort and one hour round trip by horse riding and trekking. Special program can be arranged like birds and butterflies watching, golden deer watching and family picnic lunch at the Sandalwood Forest. One could see the side plan of the whole mountain and the medicinal herbal plantation on Museum

Taungkalatt (Volcanic Plug)
Towel like volcanic plug with temples on the top and take the opportunity to experience the cult of Nat shrine, happily feeding to the monkeys on the way to the top. 20 minutes to the foot of the mountain from Resort by trekking route. One hour up and down to the top by 777 steps.
